Utah Anglers Coalition (UAC) participants have been effective in lobbying the Utah Legislature and interacting with the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources. Anyone can become involved by attending UAC meetings. A way anyone can get involved by joining one of the participating organizations. Anyone can attend a UAC meeting and participate, but only representatives appointed by participating organizations have voting privileges at UAC meetings. The strength of the UAC is that it unites Utah's angling interests with one voice. Fly fishers, bass and walleye anglers, tournament anglers and shore anglers all come together at UAC.

Other ways to get involved in the management of fisheries and wildlife in Utah are to attend Regional Advisory Council and Wildlife Board meetings or to become a volunteer for the Division of Wildlife Resources. Check out the links above for more information about how laws and rules are passed in Utah.

For more information about attending public meetings held by the RACs and Wildlife Board, go to the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources public meetings information.
