Comparison of Sportfishing to Watching Wildlife and Hunting in Utah, 1996 and 2001. These are the latest figures available.

Notice that the figures have doubled in all categories, except fishing. The total number of anglers is dropping, but the number of days anglers spend on the water is increasing.
